ROSHARAN, Texas – The Brazos River has fallen to a moderate flood stage level. The river is now below the point where it spills out of its bank at the Harris Reservoir in Rosharon.
The river gauge in Rosharon was at 49.14 feet Saturday morning, which is down from its peak of 52.56 feet June 2.
Water levels at the Brazoria Reservoir are also starting to fall. The reservoir was at 22 feet Saturday morning, down from a peak of 22.80 feet on June 7.
Oyster Creek at the FM 2004 Bridget near Lake Road is falling slowly. Water levels are down to 17.4 feet from the 17.62 feed on June 8.
Water levels are expected to fall slowly this weekend and then recede more quickly next week.
