Man killed, struck by accused wrong-way driver in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff's Office made an arrest Friday night after suspected wrong-way driver hit a man in northwest Harris County.

Investigators said the crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 10300 block of West Montgomery. According to witnesses, the victim had just stepped off a METRO bus before being hit.

The truck appears to belong to a company called Harris County Writ Towing.

Dion Curry, the victim's brother, isn't sure where his sibling was headed to.

"I cried on the way here, and now (someone) just has to resolve the problem because someone has to be aware of this right here," Curry said. "This should've never happened."
