Red Cross opens distribution center amidst flooding

KINGWOOD, Texas – The American Red Cross will open a distribution center in the Kingwood area at Foster Elementary School due to flooding in the area. The school is at 1800 Trailwood Village Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339.

The center is open Friday until 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will provide clean-up kits, food and water to affected residents in the Kingwood area.

Residents needing rescue assistance should call 911. Avoid driving or walking through high water. Turn around, don’t drown.

The City of Houston is conducting damage assessments in the area.
