HOUSTON – A 6-year-old boy who was reported missing Friday afternoon in southwest Houston has been located, according to the Houston Police Department.

Houston investigators said the child has been missing since 1 p.m. from a home in the 9000 block of Sharpcrest Street. It was later discovered the child was at a friends house, HPD officials said.

The child is a Caucasian with blond hair, police said.

According the child's mother, the family has been remodeling their residence and have been going back and forth between two homes recently. Investigators believe this may have played a factor in the child disappearance.
