HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department chased a black Camaro westbound on Highway 290, in northwest Harris County.
Police caught the car on 290 near Grand Parkway.
Police said the chase started on Southwest Freeway near Hillcroft.
Houston TranStar cameras showed the vehicle speeding between toll booths on Beltway 8 north near Briarforest.
There's no indication on what started the chase.
A father (driver) and his adult son (passenger) were detained, but the son was released shortly after. Police said the driver ran a stop sign and was afraid to stop due to his criminal history.
