Man robs several Katy businesses in same day, deputies say


KATY, Texas – Authorities are searching for a man connected to a series of aggravated robberies in the Katy area, according the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said on May 4, a man entered the Valero at 20203 Katy Freeway and asked for directions before returning to rob the gas station.

Deputies believe the man also robbed the Classic Cleaners at 1809 N. Mason Road later that day. In the cleaners’ case, the man asked the clerk if the business folded clothes. Investigators said the man later returned, wearing a cowboy hat, and robbed the clerk.

HCSOofficials said the deputies are searching for a 6 feet 5 inches tall white man with a full beard. Investigators said he is 30 to 37 years old and was wearing dirty clothes at the time.

He is driving a red older model Chevy Blazer, deputies said.
