Man accused of selling stolen cars to customers

HARRIS COUNTY – The Harris County Sheriff's Office is looking for more victims of a man whom investigators say fraudulently sold them stolen cars.

HCSO's auto theft division arrested Daniel Christine-Tahi on Monday. He is charged with fraudulent transfer of a motor vehicle. Investigators say they discovered him selling a stolen vehicle on Craigslist.

Investigators believe that Tahi has sold more stolen vehicles to multiple victims.

According to the sheriff's office, Tahi frequently uses an alias, such as Jose, Luis, Martin or Martin Auto Sales.

Anyone who believes that they have purchased a vehicle from Tahi is asked to call Harris County Deputy Red Lehmann at (281) 446-4399.
