Students moved outside after 4 Spring ISD schools lose power

SPRING, Texas – Four Spring ISD schools are without power and students have been moved outside at some campuses, district officials confirm.

Power was lost at Carl Wunsche Senior High School, Spring High School, Salyers Elementary School and Twin Creeks Middle School.

A parent sent a photo to KPRC of Spring H.S. students sitting on the bleachers.

Officials said school is still in session and parents are being notified.

Spring ISD released the following statement about weather-related issues.

"Spring ISD will use the early release day this Wednesday, April 27 and the inclement weather day on Friday, May 27 to help cover the instructional time lost due to recent flooding. Students and staff should plan for a full day of school on April 27. The last day of school for both students and teachers is Friday, May 27."
