Arrest made in murder, police say social media post possible reason for shooting

Donald Martin Moore, 22, charged with murder

SAN ANTONIO – A man was behind bars Saturday night, charged with murder, after police allege he was responsible for a shooting last month.

Troy King was shot and killed on March 14 at an East Side car wash off Rigsby Road.

Police said on Saturday a possible motive for the shooting was a social media post.

“May be related to a post on social media where somebody was insulted," Sgt. Jesse Salame with the San Antonio police said.

San Antonio police and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force worked together to arrest Donald Martin Moore, 22.

Salame said King drove to the car wash and met up with Moore. He said he is pleased with Saturday arrest. “Especially someone that was wanted for what seemed to be a very ruthless crime. The guy (King) was shot multiple times in broad daylight at a public place. You know that's not somebody we want out on the streets," he said.

Moore was charged with first-degree murder. His bond has not been set.
