LA PORTE, Texas – DuPont announced Friday it will not reopen its plant in La Porte.
The plant has been shut down since a gas leak killed four workers in 2014.

The company is promising to help employees search for new jobs.
It says it will also honor the memory of those who died in the leak.
Some employees will remain on the job as the company shuts down equipment.
