Woman missing from group care home in Sugar Land area


FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman reported missing in the Sugar Land area.

Investigators said Deandrea Dimitria Uche, 32, was last seen March 16 around 4:30 p.m. outside a group care home located in the 2500 block of Slippery Rock. According to deputies, she lives at the residence and often walks to the surrounding convenience stores.

Deputies described Uche as a black woman standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, investigators said. She was wearing a black or dark-blue short-sleeve shirt, blue-jean shorts and white tennis shoes.

Fort Bend authorities said Uche is not suicidal and doesn't have any life-threatening illness that requires medications. However, deputies said she is reported to have psychological disorders and can become violent when confronted.
