GALVESTON, Texas – A former pediatric oncologist at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.
Federal prosecutors say 49-year-old Dennis Patrick Meehan Hughes of Pearland appeared in court Tuesday and admitted receiving and possessing numerous images of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to receipt, access with intent to view and possession of child pornography charges.
Sentencing is set for June 1.
Prosecutors say that in total, law enforcement discovered 329 videos and 2,693 unique images attributable to Hughes.
