HFD controls two-alarm apartment fire on Washington Ave.

HOUSTON – Houston firefighters controlled a two-alarm fire that was reported at 2:46 p.m. Monday.

HFD arrived to find heavy smoke and fire at a four-story apartment at Washington Avenue and Oliver Street.

The fire was under control 20 minutes later.

HFD's Arson Bureau is investigating the cause of the fire.
