Flight attendant leaves behind cocaine, Gucci shoes after running off from airport, authorities say

LOS ANGELES – Authorities are looking for a flight attendant who took off from the Los Angeles International Airport Friday night, leaving behind 60 pounds of cocaine and her Gucci shoes.

Authorities told NBC News that the flight attendant bolted when her bags were about to be inspected.

The woman, who has not been identified, looked nervous and made a call on her cellphone, speaking a language other than English. Security took her aside for a secondary screening and asked for her employee identification.

She bolted from the screening location, dropped her carry-on bags and fled the terminal, authorities said.

Los Angeles Airport Police, the LAPD and the Drug Enforcement Administration are investigating. The incident was captured on video, but it has not been released.
