Chase suspect captured after attempting to hide in Burger King, kicked out by customers

HOUSTON – Customers at a northeast Houston Burger King were not going to allow a man fleeing police to take cover inside the restaurant, and kicked the man out to find somewhere else to hide.

According to Houston police, officers attempted to pull over a vehicle, but the driver refused to stop.  The suspect led police on a chase, driving at times up to 100 mph, when he hit a curve on Clinton and Market, flipped the vehicle, then hopped out and fled to a nearby Burger King.
