The 50,000-square-foot, 100 pump mega-center is expected to bring about $25 million annually in sales tax to the city of Katy.

Buc-ee’s first opened in Lake Jackson in 1982. Since then the chain has rolled out a total of 24 locations, according to their website.

Buc-ee's are large stores with fueling areas that have 80-120 pumps for gas and diesel fuel. In addition to fuel, the stores offer their own line of Buc-ee’s brand merchandise, a variety of original recipes on top of a huge selection of food, as well as homemade fudge.

As the project is in its development stages, the groundbreaking for the new building has not yet been announced.
