Woman escapes house fire in northeast Houston
HOUSTON – A woman escaped a fire at her home in northeast Houston, according to officials.
The fire started Thursday around 11:55 p.m. in the bedroom of a two-story home on Wayne and Crane.
According to investigators, the woman was home alone at the time and was able to get out on her own.
A firefighter sprained his ankle and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
