CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Officer pulls man to safety after fiery crash

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Dramatic video of a car rescue shows a Corpus Christi police officer pull a man to safety after a fiery car crash.

Police said the driver crashed his vehicle Monday evening on the turn ramp from Highway 358 and 286. Officer Jon McGinley arrive at the scene shortly after the driver crashed and noticed the car was on fire, police said

McGinley rushed to the passenger side of the vehicle and broke the window with his baton. He pulled the man out of the car before the fire took over the vehicle. Several witnesses are seen in the video trying to help the officer pull the driver to safety.

The man was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
