UH student's tweet on campus open carry laws goes viral
HOUSTON – Universities all over Texas are trying to figure out how they'll handle things when the "Campus Carry" law goes into effect in just over five months.
In fact, one discussion on the University of Houston campus has raised a few brows.
A Ph.D. student at UH sent this tweet:
Slide from recent campus carry dialogue at UH, in response to faculty concerns about dangers from armed students: pic.twitter.com/610RyhDZlf— Jeffrey R. Villines (@JeffintheBowtie) February 22, 2016
The tweet has now gone viral. It shows a "slide" from a recent campus dialogue on the issue. As the picture shows, faculty members were warned about what they might do - and perhaps not do - in their classrooms.
A few of the bullet points include: "be careful discussing sensitive topics" and "drop certain topics from your curriculum."
That tweet was retweeted more than 1,800 times.
