Police chase forces lockdown at Roberts Middle School in southeast Houston

HOUSTON – A middle school in southeast Houston is on modified lockdown Tuesday afternoon as police chase a burglary suspect in the area.

Houston police were called just after noon to the area of 10800 block of Marigold Glenn Way for reports of a suspicious vehicle that had been in the area since 7 a.m. Police said the caller was concerned after recent break-ins in the area. When officers arrived, two people got out of the car and ran, police said.

The two took off and ran along the fence line at Roberts Middle School on Conklin Lane, which prompted the lockdown.

If parents want to come pick up their children, they can. But no one is allowed to enter the building.
