19-year-old woman stabbed, killed in northwest Harris County; killer on the loose

HOUSTONA 19-year-old woman was killed after being stabbed by a man in northwest Harris County Wednesday morning.

According to deputies, the man stabbed the woman twice before driving away in a blue Nissan. It happened at the Prestonwood Apartments in the 13200 block of Prestonwood Forest Dr. just before 1:30 a.m.

After the stabbing, the woman walked to a nearby hotel to get help, investigators said.

The desk clerk at the hotel said he heard someone banging on the front door, which was locked overnight. He then called 911.

"I was able to see blood coming from the neck area. We got a towel, put pressure until they all came," the front desk clerk said.

The woman was taken by helicopter to the hospital where she required surgery and died.

It is unclear what led to the stabbing. Investigators believe the woman's boyfriend may be responsible.

The Harris County Homicide Division is investigating.
