Police are looking for a convicted felon who escaped from a Harris County courthouse Friday afternoon.
According to police, Courtney Lyons, 24, was on trial for a deadly conduct charge when he asked for a bathroom break. Police said Lyons ran as he was being escorted to the bathroom by a bailiff.
The court proceeding continued in Lyon’s absence and the jury is deciding on his punishment.
The bailiff testified about Lyon's escape in Friday’s trial.
