Authorities investigating after kayaker finds man's body in San Jacinto River

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Montgomery County sheriff's deputies are trying to identify the body of a man found in the San Jacinto River Thursday morning.

Officials said a kayaker spotted the body in the barge area around 8 a.m. and called 911.

Investigators said it was an adult male and they do not believe the death was a homicide.

A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
