Some people ran into issues before the big $1.5 billion Powerball drawing on Wednesday.
Texas Lottery tweeted, “We are experiencing technical issues at some of our retail locations. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
The Valero on FM 1092 in Missouri City was a victim. Their machines were working slower.
“I'm sure because everybody's playing, the system's probably overloaded,” said Orson Pate. “It took a little bit of time here, but I haven't had a problem any other place.”
In Rosenberg, those issues hit famous Rudy's.
“The system was down for I think for 30 to 45 minutes. My line was behind my store, but since it came back and we rushed everybody inside, we try to accommodate everyone,” said Mike Prasla.
Two of the three Powerball machines at the store went down Wednesday night. They resolved the problem before the buying deadline.
