KATY, Texas – A huge announcement from one of our biggest school districts: Katy ISD's superintendent is leaving the post.
In a note to staff, students and the community, Alton Frailey said he plans to retire. The note said he will stay in the position through the current school year.
His retirement, he says, will be effective Aug. 31.
Frailey has served as superintendent for the district for nine years.
