Woman missing for more than a month in Fort Bend County found safe

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – A woman with mental and physical health issues who had been missing for more than a month in Fort Bend County has been found safe.

Robin Lynn Steemer was last seen at 8 a.m. Dec. 5 at her sister's home in the 4600 block of Park Breeze Drive in the Andover Glen subdivision near Highway 6 in the Fresno area. Deputies said the sister said they had a disagreement, and Steemer left the home and had not been seen since.

Steemer, 47, is deaf, bi-polar and schizophrenic, according to deputies. She has no money, cell phone or any identification card. She used to live in a group home located at 5659 Belmark in Houston.

Her sister told deputies that she has contacted all local hospitals, jails and law enforcement agencies, then contacted the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office on Jan. 7.

Deputies said Steemer was found safe Tuesday afternoon. They did not release details of where she was found.
