Police have released surveillance photos from a nearby convenience store taken before the murder.

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department has released surveillance images and a sketch that could help solve a murder in southwest Houston.

Brian Quintero Medrano, 23, was shot and killed at the Madison Park apartment complex on 9801 Meadowglen Lane on Oct. 18, 2015.

Officers were dispatched to the apartment complex for a shooting in-progress call just after midnight and found Medrano lying in a grassy area. He had suffered gunshot wounds. Witnesses told investigators they saw two men leaving the scene.

Houston police have released surveillance photos of two suspects wanted in connection with the fatal shooting.

One of the photos was taken at the apartment complex moments before the murder. Two others surveillance photos were taken at a nearby convenience store shortly before the fatal shooting. Investigators believe the men stopped at the store before committing the murder.

Investigators believe the suspects are targeting Hispanic residents who visit check cashing businesses and are believed to be carrying cash.  Investigators also believe the suspects may be involved in several other robberies.
