HOUSTON – A man was hit by a car and killed while trying to cross Interstate 45 Monday afternoon in north Houston.
According to police, a witness reported seeing the man running across the main lanes at 11000 North Freeway near West Road when he was struck by a black Ford F-250 pickup truck.

The man was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
The driver of the truck was questioned and released.
