LA PORTE, Texas – La Porte police are searching for two men they say tried to lure a group of children into their vehicle.
According to police, two men driving a white work truck around 2:15 p.m. Jan. 4 near the 2200 block of Loc Loma Lane tried to lure a group of children into their vehicle.
Police said the driver asked the kids to get into the car. The children told police they then ran to their house and told their father what happened. According to investigators, the two men then fled from the scene.
La Porte police were able to obtain video stills of the men's vehicle. Investigators said it is possible the vehicle is a tow truck, but it is unclear what type of apparatus is attached to the back.
