Man shot during argument dies in hospital


HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for a man who they say shot and killed a person during an argument  last week.

Houston police said 49-year-old William Burnell was shot around 8:20 p.m. Friday near the 10000 block of Hammerly Blvd.

According to investigators, Burnell was arguing with a group of men when one of the men began firing a gun and hit the victim several times. He then fled the scene, police said.

The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he died, according to Houston police.
