It happened in the 10070 block of Briarwild Lane, near the Katy Freeway and the Beltway Saturday afternoon.

Houston police said officers were responding to reports of a burglary and spotted Fernando Guerrero coming out of the home with a large shotgun. Police fired a Taser several times, but it didn't slow him down.

They say Guerrero lunged at them, and reached into his waistband. That's when one officer shot Guerrero.

Guerrero, 35, is expected to be OK. He is charged with burglary.
