Fulshear officers to patrol in black, pink vehicles for breast cancer awareness
No description foundFULSHEAR, Texas – The Fulshear Police Department is doing its part to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In October, two officers will be patrolling the city in a black-and-pink squad vehicle instead of a traditional black-and-white one.
According to a post made on the department's Facebook page, two of its officers are directly affected by breast cancer.
Officer Travis Moore's wife is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer and Officer Nickey Braly's mother died of breast cancer in 2003.
Officers Moore and Braly will be driving the special pink vehicle in their respective shifts in honor of their loved ones.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Candy Moore as she courageously begins her fight against breast cancer," the post read.
The Fulshear Police Department also thanked Briscoe Manor and Onsite Decals for sponsoring the awareness initiative.
