Surveillance photos released of man wanted in Galleria area bank robbery

HOUSTON – The FBI is trying to track down a man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank near the Galleria. 

It happened at the branch at 5219 Richmond Ave. on Sept. 10.

Investigators said the man pressed a note up to a teller's window, demanding cash. The note also threatened to kill someone if the teller made a noise.

The teller handed over the money and the robber fled the scene, jumping a fence behind the bank, authorities say.

No one was hurt in the robbery. 

Pictures of the suspect were caught on surveillance video.  He was seen wearing all black clothing and sunglasses.

The man was carrying a red backpack with white lettering on it at the time.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
