Dash announce roster moves before season opener

HOUSTON – The Houston Dash announced several roster moves Friday before the season opener.

Defender Carleigh Williams and forward Jessica McDonald have signed with the Dash.

Williams, 22, was the No. 31 pick in the National Women's Soccer League College Draft and played in college at Central Florida. The Dash acquired McDonald, 27, in a trade with the Portland Thorns in the 2015 NWSL College Draft.

The Dash used its amateur call-up mechanism to add forward Allie Bailey, goalkeeper Megan Kinneman and midfielder Cami Privett to the 20-player roster. Bailey, Kinneman and Privett will be eligible to play in the Dash's match at Friday against the Washington Spirit. The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at BBVA Compass Stadium.
