FBI investigating bank robbery in W. Houston

HOUSTON – The FBI is investigating a bank robbery that happened in west Houston around 5:35 p.m. Friday.

FBI officials say three armed men targeted a Comerica Bank at 10489 Briar Forest Drive near Beltway 8. Investigators say two of the men jumped over the counter and took an unspecified amount of money while the third man waited in the lobby. They then fled the area.

The robbers are described as black men who were wearing dark clothes, hoodies and masks that covered their faces.

The robbery remains under investigation.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the FBI at 713-693-5000.
