Tracfone to pay $40 million to settle federal government lawsuit

HOUSTON –  If you have used a prepaid phone with supposedly unlimited data within the last five years you may be able to get a refund.

Tracfone has agreed to pay $40 million to settle a lawsuit with the federal government alleging the company put limits on the amount of data customers could use, when they advertised plans as having "unlimited data."

If you used their services you should fill out a claim form to find out if you can get a refund.
