PD: Woman pretending to be a patient steals from SW Houston dental office

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for a woman who allegedly stole from a southwest Houston dental office.

According to investigators, the woman was pretending to be a patient at a dental office in the 10800 block of West Bellfort on Sept. 13, 2014.

Before it was time to get her teeth cleaned, the woman told the staff that she needed to use the bathroom.  Police say that is when the woman let herself into an unlocked office and stole a wallet out of a purse.  She then left the dental office without getting her teeth cleaned.  No one noticed the wallet was missing until later in the day.

Investigators say the woman used the victim's stolen Visa card at a pharmacy in the 1000 block of Waugh Drive.
