Man gives away money at Houston hospital waiting room

HOUSTON – Several people sitting in the emergency waiting room at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital on Beechnut got the shock of a lifetime Friday.

A man walked in, made a head count of how many people were waiting in the lobby, and then left.

When he returned, he gave each person a $100 bill.

It left many sick patients and their family members in tears.

"As soon as he walked out, people just started calling him an angel from up above and it was just crazy to see something like that ever happen," said Shantal Luna, who received $100.

Witnesses say the man handed the cash out and then left without saying who he was.
