2 hospitalized after Cypress apartment fire


CYPRESS, Texas – Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire that destroyed almost a dozen apartment units.

Firefighters raced to the scene on Cypress North Houston Road Sunday around 11 p.m. to find heavy flames coming from the second floor.

The fire was so strong, crews were forced to call for backup.

The flames ripped through several units, causing damage to 10 of them.

Two people were rushed to the hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation.
