HOUSTON – A man is dead after a hit-and-run accident in southwest Houston Thursday morning.
Police said they received a call around 3 a.m. after a person spotted a man's body on the Southwest Freeway frontage road at Bellaire and Fondren.
Police said the man was crossing the road when a car hit him and then drove off.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
Police are trying to get surveillance video from nearby businesses that can help lead them to the car.
