Precinct 4 deputies set up perimeter, arrest 2 men after carjacking


HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two men were arrested after they held someone at gunpoint and stole a truck and trailer on Jan, 14, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4. 

Deputies said they responded to a carjacking in the 14700 block of Hoya Court. They said they were told that two men had stolen an older-model blue Chevrolet and trailer and left the area. 

Deputies reported they found the stolen vehicle near Huffmeister and U.S. Route 290, but the driver would not stop and then ran from the vehicle. Deputies said they established a perimeter and Precinct 4 K-9s and a Department of Public Safety helicopter assisted in searching for the man.

According to Precinct 4, a K-9 and his handler quickly found the man in the back yard of a vacant home. The K-9 bit the suspect when he would not cooperate with authorities. He and the second suspect were both arrested. 

The victim identified both men, and deputes said they also recovered a handgun used in the carjacking. 

Dedrrio Brunson, 17, and Damien Washington, 33, were both charged with aggravated robbery.
