Bank robber on the run after targeting Chase location in La Porte

LA PORTE, Texas – The La Porte Police Department is looking for a bank robber.

Police say a man entered a Chase Bank at 4 p.m. Friday on the 1400 block of West Fairmont Parkway.

Authorities say the man displayed a note demanding cash and the teller gave him an unspecified amount of money.

The robber wore a hooded Carharrt jacket, a cap, pressed jeans and dark colored shoes, according to officials.

Investigators say the man was last seen traveling west on West Fairmont Parkway in an early model, light-colored extended cab pickup truck.

The robber is described as a white man, 6 feet 2 to 6 feet 4 inches tall with a slender build and light-colored facial hair on his chin. Anyone who recognizes the man or his vehicle is asked to call the La Porte Police Department at 281-842-3173.
