Houston pizza shop robbed for third time this year

HOUSTON – A northwest Houston pizza shop had their third run-in with crime in four days Thursday.

Winner's Pizza at 7239 Fairbanks N. Houston Road was robbed twice and broken into once in the past week. The store was also robbed in June.

On Thursday, employees said five men rushed through front door that was closed with a magnetic lock. Two of the men had guns and ordered the employees on the ground. They cleared out the cash register and stole a few hundred dollars.

The men also  tried to rob a Thai cuisine restaurant next door but were not able to get in because that owner had installed a bolted lock on his front door.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office searched for the robbers who allegedly jumped a nearby fence and ran into a nearby mobile home park. The search was called off after an hour.
