FBI: Bank robber with bad handwriting gets away with nothing

Bank tellers couldn't read bank robber's note


HOUSTON – The FBI needs your help tracking down a bank robber they say has poor penmanship. He got away with no money because the bank teller couldn't read his note.

It happened Friday at the J.P. Morgan Chase bank located at 2900 Woodbridge near Winkler. Investigators say at 1:18 p.m., the man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note. The teller couldn't read it. Investigators say the bank robber got frustrated, tried to grab a bank bag on his own, but was unsuccessful. That's when he left.

No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years of age. with a goatee. He was wearing a black "Houston" ski cap, gloves and a black jacket with a white T-shirt underneath.
