2 armed, masked men rob Houston bank

HOUSTON – Police need the public's help to find two men who robbed a Chase Bank in southeast Houston.

The men were armed and wearing masks.

It happened at 10:51 a.m. Friday at the Chase off of West Bay Area Boulevard and the Gulf Freeway.

Police say one of the men jumped over a counter while the second stayed in the lobby. The men demanded money and got away with an unknown amount, according to officials.

We're told one bank customer was injured when one of the robbers kicked in a door.

Authorities say the men fled in a white Dodge Stratus and fired shots at a witness who tried to follow them. Police say they found the car a few blocks away.

FBI investigators say the men are described as black, about 6 feet tall, one has a slim build and weighs about 170-200 pounds. The other man is described as being about 230 pounds.
