FBI seeks man who attempted to rob north Houston bank

Houston's FBI Office says this man tried to rob the Wells Fargo at 2799 Fulton Street.

HOUSTON – The FBI is seeking a man who robbed a north Houston bank in Houston Monday.

Authorities say a man came into the Wells Fargo at 2799 Fulton St. around 1 p.m. and showed a threatening note to a bank employee. Investigators say that witnesses saw no weapon.

The man came away with no money and left the bank on foot. There were no injuries during the robbery attempt, according to officials.

The robber is described as a black man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall 120 pounds and bald. He was wearing a white T-shirt with blue jean shorts.

Crime Stoppers of Houston will offer a reward up to $5,000 for any information that leads to charges and an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the Houston FBI office at 713-693-5000.
