1 arrested, 3 on the loose in credit union bank robbery

HOUSTON – A suspect arrested after a credit union robbery in Pasadena is now being questioned by police as the search for his three alleged accomplices continues.

Police say the Shared Resources Credit Union near the 2100 block of Highway 225 was robbed by four armed, masked men just before 2 p.m. Monday. The suspects got away in a gray 2011 Chevy Impala and led officers on a chase.

"One of our patrol units spotted the vehicle that they left in and gave chase, wound up going down 225 to 610, 610 bridge over to the North Wayside exit," said Vance Mitchell, with the Pasadena Police Department.

The pursuit ended on a dead-end street in a residential neighborhood near North Howton and Amy Street in northeast Houston.

Police say the suspects bailed out of the car near a rail yard. One man was taken into custody.

Police are still searching for the three remaining suspects.

There were no injuries during the robber or the chase.
