HOUSTON – An elderly man died days after he was involved in a collision in west Houston.
Houston police said a Toyota Camry and a Mercury Mariner collided at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Hammerly about 8:30 a.m. on May 13.

Relva McCarty, 91, a passenger in the Mariner, was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital and then transferred to Kindred Hospital, where he died on May 17.
Detectives said both drivers were at-fault in the collision.
