Father, 4 kids missing after chase

HOUSTON – Houston Police are looking for the father of four young children who took off during a police chase Wednesday.

Officers said someone saw the woman and her husband, Noe Aranda Soto, 31, fighting on the Southwest Freeway and called for help. Police followed their white Ford pickup truck when the woman pulled over and tried to get her kids out of the truck at Bissonnet and the Southwest Freeway.

Then, Houston Police Sgt. Ron Borza said the "husband jumped in the driver's seat, took off with the kids."

"We just want to talk to him and make sure the kids are safe," Borza said.

Police said Soto caused one accident in Stafford.

Officers and deputies followed but lost him somewhere in the Richmond/Rosenberg area.  They did not believe he would go far. They were told he only had a quarter of a tank of gas and $10 with him.

Soto is the biological father of the four young children; one girl and three boys between the ages of three and eight years old.

Police say ICE is looking for him and that he has a domestic violence charge in connection with a case that apparently involves his mother-in-law.  Soto also faces a felony evading charge out of Pearland and will face a new evading charge in Houston.
