2 wanted in League City purse thefts

LEAGUE CITY, Texas - Two people are wanted in connection with purse thefts, and investigators said a man may be dressing as a woman during some of the crimes.

League City police said a purse was stolen at a HEB store on F.M. 646 near Interstate 45, one purse was stolen at a Walmart store on F.M. 646 near Interstate 45 and another was taken during a car burglary at Big League Dreams on Calder Road.

Detectives said stolen credit cards stolen during the car break-in at Big League Dreams were later used at a store by a woman and a balding man.

The man may have dressed in women's clothing during the thefts at the Walmart and HEB, police said.

The pair is believed to be traveling in a dark blue car, possibly a Toyota Prius.
